Nene Shoes

Nene shoes started with a vision of connecting moms and kids through matching shoes they will love. Nene is a tribute to my Mama who passed away in 1993; her name means 'small/young girl' in Spanish and Filipino, while being a common name for ladies. 

With the brand's evolution, women's footwear is still going to be very much within the realm of Jasmine New York. From the very first pair of pumps that I designed and hand crafted, I knew that I wanted to create chic, high quality shoes, and will strive to continue designing new collections in the near future. xoxo, Jasmine

About The Designer

A global citizen who was born and raised in the Philippines, Jasmine Mendoza lived across continents for a decade, before settling in New York to establish a successful career in the Financial Services industry. Inspired by travels, life experiences, and influenced by uber talented siblings, Jasmine always felt compelled to create something beautiful. She immersed herself in different art forms - music and theater, visual and literary - and fell in love with fashion, which she characterizes as living and breathing art. She initially took design classes at the Brooklyn Shoe Space, then later on at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology. Committing herself to this pursuit, she introduced NENE SHOES in 2015 and developed an endearingly chic approach to matching mom-and-kid footwear. Motivated and driven by the great feedback from customers who loved her designs, she thus expands her brand by creating JASMINE NEW YORK, while paying homage to the city she now calls home.
